To Love-ru Trial Trouble V2.00

Lenses New Nikon 85 mm 1.4 AF-S lenses from Nikon

Because I am immodest, I have borrowed not only the 28-300 VR for testing, but also the new 85mm 1.4 AF-s. Oh, and also the 45mm PC-E but that's another story.

I had some time to the 85 mm 1.4 Ai-s, so the manual version of this lens. Mechanically a dream, but at maximum aperture to 2.8 BL unfortunately quite strong over-exposure, which resembles a soft-focus effect. In addition to focus hard, because with 1.4, the Focus range is very narrow.

Nikon D3, 85mm AF-s, 1600 ISO, f 1.4, 1 / 50 sec

The new lens is a more than significant improvement, as is already at full aperture, the Very good quality, without radiation and with beautiful soft bokeh (blur the background). The autofocus is fast and precise.
solid with great sun visor (plastic).

Actually a perfect lens for portrait and low light conditions. However, the minimum focusing distance of 85 cm (same as its predecessors and by 10 cm better than the Canon 85 mm / 1,2) I think is not quite sufficient to scan faces fill the frame.
