Well, welcome to the new year. I made a good resolution for the new year: I reorganize my finances to get started, more to save my professional resources, and create. All of my regular Kirchegigeinkommen is back behind down in the same account, but my irregular income - funeral, wedding, Bandgig and other income - is now back down to another account from which I can contribute to a registered retirement savings plan. Other companies have pension plans for their employees, why not mine? :-)
Meanwhile, I'm in my music career, these last weeks moderately active. Soul Review Board has an extremely successful gig at the Rainbow Bistro played at 26.1 and is provisionally booked to play another gig to there at 10.3. I've played two funerals, especially that of the included Jean-Guy Villeneuve, Ottawa's first recipient of a heart transplant.
meantime, take a view on my project, German pop music, I have completed a restatement of Kira's song "lifeboat" - complete with a package deal - and start immediately working on the next song, "filter" to. It is not always easy to find the time to rewrite this music but I try!
far as I know, there is continuing Stone Soul Picnic, to be temporarily inactive. This leads me to deduce that have the logistical problems that I have outlined in my newsletter from December, led to the complete cancellation of our Thursday-gigs. Meanwhile, Hotter is than Ice on hiatus since our November gig at the Good Companions Centre, first mainly because of our Christmas vacation, and then because of a disease that our drum player incurs, either during or after his Christmas holiday trip to the Caribbean. We want to rehearse at the beginning of March to start again, perhaps with a new band name and a new direction for the band. Stay tuned!
